I was really happy with this, too! The best part is that I hadn’t practiced this piece for about two weeks and just decided to try recording it to see what happened. Hope you guys enjoy!

Me playing Bass Clarinet!
…and everything in it’s place!
After six LONG weeks, my clarinets are finally back! This has caused me more stress than almost anything in the past year.
Fitblrs, imagine someone took away your barbells, plates, kettlebells, and running shoes for six weeks. Then pretend (or in reality for some of you) that it’s your job to workout. Not pretty.
I’m just so glad they’re back and all the work was done! Words cannot explain my happiness that they’re home.
Your case is perfect, jeez!

Rehearsal excerpts from the Mozart clarinet concerto in A.
Performed with an 18th century period clarinet copy manufactured by the soloist specially for the occasion.
It’s fascinating to hear one of these period instruments played in orchestral context.
Here’s the Debussy! After my disaster at Buffet Academy, it was nice to do this piece some justice. Comments/critiques are welcome!

Ivory and brass clarinet, 1830, hnnnggg. “Ngk,” to quote Crowley. Ngk, indeed. Let me approximate how many feels: all of them. All of the feels.
Francaix-Theme and Variations
just one of the pieces i will be (attempting) to learn this summer. There are butterflies in my stomach just thinking about learning this piece! I can do it! It’s a cute piece, because it’s for his son Olivier, and if you listen, does the first phrase sound like “oli-vi-er?” it’s like he’s calling his son, then the next variation is seeing his son all calm and happy and then the next is his son being mischievous…I don’t know. I’l stop now and go practice!
